Trims and Powertrains

ARIYA buyers will have six trims to select from: Engage, Venture+, Evolve+, Engage+, Empower+, and Platinum+. The Engage has a 63-kWh battery and a single electric motor on the front axle that creates 214 horsepower, while all others use an 87-kWh battery. The Venture+, Evolve+, and Engage+ have standard front-wheel drive with an output of 238 horsepower and 221 lb.-ft. of torque. All-wheel drive (E-4ORCE) is an option for all but the Venture+. This AWD system uses dual electric motors for an output of 389 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque and a 0-to-60-mph time around 4.8 seconds.

The Engage configuration provides up to 216 miles of driving range per charge. From there, the Platinum+ hits up to 267 miles, the Engage+ boasts range of up to 272 miles, and the Evolve+ and Empower+ are rated for up to 289 miles. At the top of the range, the Venture+ can take you up to 304 miles per charge.

With the smaller battery capacity, the 240-volt charging time is 10 hours, while the peak DC fast charge time is as low as 35 minutes. The larger battery offers a 14-hour charging time and DC fast charging in as little as 40 minutes.

Standard Features

The Engage and Engage + (larger battery capacity) have a 12.3-inch driver display, a navigation system with voice controls, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 4-way lumbar support and position memory, heated front and rear outboard seats, leatherette upholstery, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, four USB ports, one 12-volt power outlet, Nissan Intelligent Key with push-button start, power-folding heated side mirrors, LED headlights, and 19-inch aluminum wheels. An auto-dimming rearview mirror is optional.

The Venture+ adds the larger battery but removes some power features (sliding console, heated power seats and steering wheel, and position memory) to save electricity for the trim’s outstanding range. It also gets cloth upholstery, a six-way manually-adjustable driver’s seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Evolve+ and Empower+ build on the Engage’s standard equipment with a panoramic moonroof, wireless device charging, a HomeLink universal transceiver, a power tailgate, power sunshades, LED fog lights, and rain-sensing automatic wipers. The Platinum+ spoils its occupants with Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a proximity automatic tailgate, passenger seat position memory, side-mirror turn indicators, and LED fog lights. An upgrade to 20-inch wheels is available.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Nissan installs the comprehensive Safety Shield 360 on every ARIYA. This driver-assist suite encompasses forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, blind spot detection, lane departure warning, automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, lane keep assist, navigation-based adaptive cruise control, and driver drowsiness monitoring. The Evolve+ and higher also get the Intelligent Around-View Monitor, while the Empower+ and Platinum+ further gain the advanced ProPILOT Assist 2.0 system with hands-free lane change and an automated parking system.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The 12.3-inch NissanConnect touchscreen infotainment system brings together all of the features that ARIYA passengers will need on the road. Those include a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility, Bluetooth, Alexa Built-in, Siri Eyes Free and “Hello Nissan” voice control, and SiriusXM satellite radio. While the lower trims have a six-speaker sound system, the Platinum+ upgrades to a premium Bose installation with ten speakers.
