It's true: the Rogue is back with new front and rear styling that includes reimagined versions of Nissan's V-motion grille and inner taillights. While every trim has enhanced satin-finish badging, the SV offers a fresh 18-inch alloy wheel design, while the Platinum has a more sophisticated look with larger 19-inch alloys and gloss-black accents. The exterior paint choices have also changed, with the addition of colors like Baja Storm, Deep Ocean Blue, and Everest White, as well as some two-tone combinations with a black roof.
Inside, Nissan has updated the colors and textures used throughout the seating, dash, doors, and center console. As far as technology, every ‘24 Rogue comes with a 3-year trial subscription to NissanConnect services, and the SL trim now has a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Trims and Powertrain
The 2024 Rogue lineup consists of four trim levels: S, SV, SL, and Platinum. The powertrain pairs a 1.5-liter variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engine (201 horsepower and 225 lb.-ft. of torque) with an XTRONIC continuously variable transmission. Although front-wheel drive (FWD) is the standard driveline, all-wheel drive (AWD) is available across every trim; the maximum towing capacity is 1,500 pounds.
The FWD versions of the S and SV achieve an EPA-estimated 30 mpg in city driving and 37 mpg on the highway, whereas the same trims with AWD return 29 mpg city/36 mpg highway. The SV and Platinum with FWD get 29 mpg city/36 mpg highway, while AWD versions return 28 mpg city/34 mpg highway.
Standard Features
The entry-level S comes with remote keyless entry, LED exterior lighting (automatic headlights/daytime running lights/taillights), power-folding side mirrors, HomeLink, premium cloth upholstery, two USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet, and tie-down hooks for the cargo area. The SV adds Nissan Intelligent Key, remote engine start with intelligent climate control, heated side mirrors, a motion-activated liftgate, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic temperature control, and four total USB ports (two front and two rear).
Advanced Driver Assistance and Safety Technology
Like any new Nissan vehicle, the ‘24 Rogue is loaded with Safety Shield 360 features, even in the base trim. The S has high beam assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, intelligent forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot warning, intelligent driver alertness, a rear sonar system, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic braking.
The SV and higher add intelligent cruise control, intelligent lane intervention, and ProPILOT Assist, which can provide additional help with things like distance maintenance, lane centering, and speed limit regulation. The SL and Platinum swap the standard rearview monitor for an HD Enhanced Intelligent Around View Monitor and gain ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, front and rear parking sensors, intelligent lane intervention, blind-spot intervention, and traffic sign recognition.
Infotainment and Connectivity
An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system fills out the center dash of the S and SV, uniting Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, over-the-air software updates. Wi-Fi hotspot capability is added at the SV level. The SL and Platinum are upgraded to a 12.3-inch Google built-in-based system with Amazon Alexa built-in, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, NissanConnect navigation with voice activation, and SiriusXM 360L. The Platinum alone gets a Bose premium audio system with 10 speakers and a dual-driver subwoofer.
