Trims, Powertrain, and Performance
The 2025 Altima is available in four trims: S, SV, SR, and SL. Their 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine puts out 188 horsepower and 180 lb.-ft. of torque; a continuously variable transmission (CVT) completes the powertrain. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is offered as an option. According to the EPA, the S and SV achieve 27 mpg in city driving and 39 mpg on the highway, while the SR and SL are good for 27 mpg city/37 mpg highway.
Remarkable Amenities
The entry-level S offers great value with cloth upholstery, proximity keyless entry, key-fob remote start, push-button ignition, manually adjustable front seats, a 60/40-split folding rear seatback, two USB ports, and LED headlights. The SV adds a power-adjustable driver’s seat and two additional USB ports. Those who elect to add the SV Premium Package will also get heated front seats, a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, wireless phone charging, a moonroof, and smartphone-enabled remote start.
The SR adopts a more athletic aesthetic with unique sport cloth upholstery and a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel. The optional SR Premium Package bundles all of the same upgrades as the SV Premium Package (minus the leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, which is already standard). The SL sits at the top of the range with leather upholstery, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote start with climate control settings, side-view mirrors with built-in turn indicators, and all of the enhancements listed in the SR Premium Package.
Driver-Assistive Technologies
Every Altima trim comes with Nissan Safety Shield 360, a comprehensive suite of driver-assist technologies. This advanced package consists of forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, reverse automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and driver attention alert. The SV with the Premium Package will also get adaptive cruise control, ProPILOT Assist active lane centering/freeway cruise control support, and active lane-keeping assist. Meanwhile, the highest trim, the SL, is loaded with ProPILOT Assist Hands On (full-speed range adaptive cruise control), the Intelligent Around-View Monitor, traffic sign recognition, and intelligent lane intervention.
Connectivity and Entertainment
The Altima’s standard infotainment system uses an 8-inch touchscreen to manage Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a six-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. With their respective Premium Package installed, the SV and SR will get a 12.3-inch touchscreen, integrated navigation, voice recognition, and SiriusXM satellite radio. The SL gets all of those upgrades standard, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a top-quality Bose audio system with nine speakers.
