2016 Nissan Titan Preview in Fredericksburg, VA
Introducing the 2016 Titan!
The next big thing to happen to the full-size truck category has arrived with vengeance. Nissan has announced that the 2016 Nissan Titan will hit showroom floors late 2015, that will come with a powerful new diesel V8 engine, an upgraded interior, and variety of frame, cab, trim, and bed length configurations. And best of all, it’ll be available for test drive at Pohanka Nissan of Fredericksburg.
At the heart of every truck is its engine, and the 2016 Nissan Titan spares nothing. The all-new Cummins 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel1 brings heavy-duty attitude with 310 horsepower and 555 lbs.-ft. of torque to half-ton pickup territory, all while being more fuel efficient than its gasoline counterparts. This high-revving engine uses Dual Overhead Cams to drive 32 valves for precise cylinder firing and maximum airflow through the cylinder heads. You won’t need to worry about it underperforming in the cold, because even if it gets to -25 degrees Fahrenheit, you’ll be ready to work thanks to the advanced Bosch® ceramic glow plugs, which fire up your engine in less than two seconds. And because tough doesn’t have to be deafening, this V8 uses compacted graphic iron cylinder blocks and dual overhead camshafts for excellent noise and harshness cancelation.
With so much power comes even greater towing capacity2. To use it, you’re going to need the stability provided by a gooseneck hitch, so the 2016 Titan has one engineered right into the frame. In early testing in the sweltering heat of Arizona, the Titan pulled more than five tons with total confidence. This is partially due to the new frame and chassis that is reinforced with substantial components3. This includes a new heavy-duty suspension, strong brakes, a 6-speed transmission, a new transfer case, a high-speed steel frame, a new ale and differential, and the integrated gooseneck hitch. Together they work to expand your towing and payload potential.
Once you step inside, you’ll notice the master craftsmanship that went into designing the ultra-comfortable, premium interior. For starters, Nissan relocated the shifter to the steering column to make more room for the large center console, which is deep enough to store a 15-inch laptop, and features a side pocket and a 120-volt outlet to charge all your concealed gadgets. There is also the advanced technology of Nissan ConnectSM4, which serves up navigation, entertainment, and communication features from a full-color 7-inch display. This screen also doubles as an Around View Monitor®5, which helps you maneuver into tight parking spaces, and hook up and park your trailer with ease.
Besides having tons of storage6 inside with rear seats that can be folded down or flipped up, the cargo box is loaded with a wide variety of available features to make hauling your cargo easier than ever. The innovative Utili-track® cargo system features four aluminum alloy cleats that move and lock anywhere along the walls, bed floor, and head tracks for endless tie-down configurations. There is also lockable in-bed storage, and flush-mounted LED lighting to help you find tools in the dark.
Mark your calendars, because the 2016 Nissan Titan hits our showroom in Fredericksburg in late 2015. To be the first to take the Titan home, schedule a test drive at Pohanka Nissan of Fredericksburg by calling 855-975-6030 today!
