2018 Nissan Titan

The 2018 model year sees the Titan—Nissan’s full-size pickup truck—continue to trudge on with its second production cycle. As the third entry of this generation, the 2018 Nissan Titan does not have any major changes. The truck is split into five trims: S, SV, PRO-4X, SL, and Platinum. There’s also a Midnight Edition™ package that transforms the SV and SL with unique features such as black step rails, headlight trim, fog light surrounds, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Three body styles are available: a two-door Single Cab; and a four-door King Cab and (slightly larger) Crew Cab.

Performance

Powering the 2018 Nissan Titan is a 5.6-liter V8, which generates 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission for a fuel economy of 15 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway. Although front-wheel drive is standard, the PRO-4X enables you to switch to an all-wheel layout because of an added switch-operated two-speed transfer case.

Interior

Standard comfort and convenience features on the 2018 Nissan Titan include cruise control, Bluetooth® wireless connectivity for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, hands-free text messaging capability, remote keyless entry with push-button engine ignition, NissanConnect® infotainment integration, six-speaker audio, an AM/FM radio tuner, a single-disc CD player, and a 5-inch color display. Upper-level trim and optional features include leather upholstery, remote vehicle start, leather seat trim, climate control capability on the front seats, front-seat power adjustability, dual-zone automatic climate control, a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM® satellite radio, and a 12-speaker Rockford Fosgate® audio system with a 7-inch color screen. Exclusive to the PRO-4X are embroidered seats with white stitching.

Safety

For restraint and cushioning in the event of a collision, the 2018 Nissan Titan has dual front impact airbags, dual seat-mounted side-curtain airbags, and dual roof-mounted side-curtain airbags. Also on board are electronic stability control, traction control, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, and a vehicle security system that includes engine immobilization. Upper-level trims are more likely to have features like a rearview camera, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and moving object detection. As an addition, the PRO-4X has hill descent control due to its two-speed transfer case.
