Regardless of whether you choose the 2019 Murano or the 2019 Rogue, you will get a stylish, sporty, and reliable SUV. Nissan is a leader in the field of safety too, which means you'll get more safety features in both vehicles this year. Characteristics of the Murano include a bold exterior with rounded edges and a modern, aerodynamic design. You'll get a number of delightful now-standard features on this year's SUV, including automatic emergency braking and a powerful total engine capacity of 260 HP. Although there is just a slight design change to note this year, the Murano gets more technology, such as a larger and higher-quality infotainment system. While the 2019 Murano is designed to impress, the latest Rogue has some standout new offerings, too. This year's Rogue comes with a more spacious cargo area than before. There are also more standard and available safety amenities. Depending on the trim level you choose, you'll also have more wheel options in 2019. Air vents in the back row purify and circulate the air more efficiently.

Comfort and Design

In the area of comfort, both the Murano and the Rogue have strong points. When you move up in trim level, as you might guess, you'll get even more amenities. Progressing to the top-level Platinum model in the Murano, for instance, you'll get premium leather seats with attractive contrast stitching. The car's center console and armrests also get contrast stitching. Upscale interior amenities, including faux wood and teak-style wood accents, give the Murano an even more luxurious appearance. The Rogue also holds its own in the areas of comfort and design. Standard features on this SUV are a well-equipped infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The second trim up the line, called the SV, adds a leather shift knob. You'll also get premium leather seats and attractive dark wood accents at the higher trim levels of the Rogue.

Performance

The 2019 Nissan Rogue is powered by one of two engines, which are a gasoline-powered and a hybrid engine. The gasoline engine is a four-cylinder 2.5L that generates up to 170 HP at 6,000 RPM. The engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. If you want a hybrid, on the other hand, you'll get a 2.0L, four-cylinder engine that produces slightly more horsepower at 176. All-wheel drive is standard. The Murano gets a six-cylinder engine this year with a 3.5L capacity. This engine, which is paired with standard all-wheel drive and optional front-wheel drive, can crank out up to 260 HP. With this capacity, the Murano reaches 60 MPH in 7.3 seconds.

Safety

Nissan excels in the area of safety, and both the Murano and Rogue are well-equipped for the unexpected. Standard safety amenities in both include front and side-impact airbags. Notable safety amenities on the 2019 Rogue include forward emergency braking, which helps stop the car from getting into a collision, and a panoramic camera that acts as another set of eyes. An intelligent driving system called ProPilot Assist, which is available on the SV and higher trim levels, makes the Rogue more adept at highway driving with the addition of cruise control and lane-keep assist. On select trim levels of the Murano, you will get the Nissan Intelligent Mobility package with driver-assist features including rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic braking, and emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

With a combination of good looks, generous interior amenities, and the latest safety technology, both the 2019 Nissan Murano and the 2019 Nissan Rogue are commendable cars. Both SUVs come in multiple trim levels, which vary in features and offer plenty of options for customization.
