Tour Detour: 2025 Nissan Kicks

2025 Nissan Kicks
The Next Evolution of the Juke

When Tour Detour first set out to test how far a crossover could really go, Tim Pohanka, our store owner, brought his 2016 Nissan Juke along for the ride. That bright-eyed little turbo hatchback clawed its way across sand, slickrock, and switchbacks—earning every scrape and story along the way.

Now, meet the new generation of that spirit—the 2025 Nissan Kicks. Think of it as the Juke’s grown-up, more capable, and far more refined evolution. It keeps the playful attitude and nimble size that made the Juke unforgettable but adds more power, more space, and—finally—available all-wheel drive. It’s the city-to-summit crossover built for drivers who want both sneakers and hiking boots in one package.

Built to Move You Anywhere

Under the hood, the 2025 Kicks gets a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 141 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque—a solid step up from the Juke’s smaller base powertrain. Paired with Nissan’s smooth Xtronic CVT and your choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive, the new Kicks gives you the confidence to take the long way home. A drive-mode selector lets you toggle between Normal, Eco, Sport—and, on AWD models, Snow Mode—so you’re never stuck with a one-size-fits-all drive.

With class-leading ground clearance and a suspension tuned for both broken pavement and backroads, the Kicks feels ready for whatever your weekend looks like—gravel, rain, or rush hour.

The New Shape of Fun

The Juke was famous for turning heads. The 2025 Kicks takes that personality and stretches it—literally. It’s bigger inside and out, with a bolder stance and design cues inspired by sneaker culture: sharp lines, floating roof, athletic two-tone colorways, and wheels that look ready to sprint.

Inside, it’s a whole new level of livability. The cabin offers best-in-class cargo space, more legroom in both rows, and available Zero Gravity seats—technology once reserved for Nissan’s higher-end SUVs. That means your adventure gear fits, your friends fit, and comfort finally joins capability.

2025 Nissan Kicks safety features
